September Newsletter

Hello everyone,
My September yoga class schedule is available for registration. This time of year, as seasons and schedules shift, the theme will be GROUNDING. There are five group classes offered weekly. This way, carving out space to connect to your body and breath can help you develop a routine for stability and comfort.
If you’re choosing a dynamic, active practice, I am offering three vinyasa classes:
Tuesdays 7:30pm Vinyasa class - Offering stability. This will work pranayama and how the breaths rhythm guides us uniquely not only to flow from pose to pose, but to maintain energy and stay focused.
Saturdays 9am Intermediate Vinyasa - Offering challenge. This will work on unique sets of postures towards new shapes, taking us further mentally and physically.
Saturdays 10:30am Intro to Yoga, Learning the Basics - Offering potential. This will work on the 5 Yamas and 5 Niyamas. Our yogic philosophy and how this mindset helps us not only in our physical practice, but in our lives.
If you are looking a class to reset your breath and uncouple tension, then Monday's 6pm Somatic Movement and Restorative Yoga class (offering peace) gives space to center.
I’ve added Women’s Health Yoga class for a limited time (offering connection) on Wednesdays to help give our ladies relief. The topics are pelvic floor toning, urinary tract health, balancing hormones in perimenopause and menopause and freedom from anxiety and fatigue.
As you move from Summer and prepare for autumn, i offer private Ayurveda sessions for health and wellness. Refer to the website for details. Regardless of the class or private session that you choose, I always include guided meditation.
Alternatively, consider offering a gift of health and wellness for a friend or a loved one with a Yoga and Melody gift certificate!
I hope you’ve all had a wonderful summer and look forward to seeing you this September!
Namaste,
Melody Harden-Sandhu
Mondays: Somatic Movement and Restorative Yoga
This gentle form of exercise aids in the body’s natural healing process.
It creates body and mind integration, releasing emotional stress, trauma, habitual patterns, and tight restricted areas in muscles, including injuries.
The addition of restorative postures helps your body and mind to reset and recharge, based on the principle of Self-care.
By focusing on breath work and relaxation, practitioners develop self-awareness, leading to greater psychological and emotional well-being.
Tuesdays: Basic Vinyasa
Basic yoga is a foundational class focusing on the basic principles and practices of Vinyasa, including breathing techniques and yoga postures designed to benefit body and mind.
Build muscles, increase flexibility, improve posture, reduce stress and increase body awareness.
Designed for cardio health and stress reduction.
Wednesdays: Women's Health Yoga
Hatha yoga is often referred to as gentle yoga due to its slow practice.
This class is uniquely designed for women.
Postures, breathing techniques, and meditation are designed to help common conditions that women specifically deal with.
Topics vary each class ranging from The Pelvic Floor; menopause, headaches, anxiety, menstruation, digestive and heart health, energy, depression / low mood, back issues, Osteoporosis, and more.
Saturdays: Intermediate Vinyasa
For experienced students practicing postures advancing to master poses..
Saturday morning intermediate vinyasa classes explore sun salutations, a series of postures that warm, strengthen the body, and increase stamina.
By learning sequences and practicing daily, you will achieve flexibility, muscle tone, agility, and body awareness.
These postures connect with breath, creating a moving meditation for a calm and focused mind.
Saturdays: Intro to Yoga - Learning the Basics
Great for beginners and entry level yoga practitioners.
Vinyasa yoga beginner level instruction teaching you yoga breathing techniques, yoga postures and how they benefit the body and mind.
If practiced routinely, this class will build stronger muscles, increase flexibility, improve posture, reduce stress and increase body awareness.
So join me and dive into a transformative yoga experience that will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
